Hi there,

my friend gave me this laptop and told me to reformat it and bring it back to normal, well I tried but the cd-rom on this laptop is so jacked up, that it cannot finish installing windows.

Does anybody know can I use an external cd-rom via USB Cable to try and finish installing windows??

$84 later, your friend could have a new DVD-burner installed in his notebook.
$68 would get him a DVDROM/CDRW combo drive.
