I am curious of what peoples opinions of netbooks are. I personally own a netbook, an Acer Aspire One 721 with the Athlon II Neo k125 (1.7ghz) and Radeon 4225, 11.6 inch screen. I also have a normal desktop computer. I saw no need to spend more money on a full fledged laptop because I have a good gaming desktop. I rather decided to buy a netbook for portability and to have something when I go on trips. I have owned it for about a month and personally love it. It has just enough power for my every day use and it has been decent for a little light gaming like Starcraft 2, call of duty 2, and Left 4 Dead. I get roughly 5 1/2 hrs of battery life out of it. Which for me is perfect anytime I use it on the battery for work or in the car. I love the lightweight design. \

I wanted to know what everyone thinks about netbooks and if they own one. Is it worth is to have one? Do you use it as your primary PC?

I just picked up a 10" Samsung netbook with an Atom N450 processor. I'm going on a motorcycle trip and wanted something to keep in touch, find hotels, map out my gps route etc.

Being on a motorbike I don't have much space so size was very important to me, that and battery life. I leave tomorrow, so I'll find out pretty soon if this was a worth while purchase or not.

Thats one of my favorite things about my netbook is that it's small and portable.

yeah but the problem with netbooks is they are wifi
I just use my iphone unless its an out of town trip then I bring the full size laptop
I think nettops are more for sitting on the couch browsing
