Rooting my Droid 3

It's that time. I've gotten annoyed enough with the stock Moto ROM that I'm rooting and going to flash something new. Looks like it'll be Maverick 3.5, but I may try one of the ICS ROMs in a month or so.

My main issues with the stock rom are wifi and visual related. Wifi can take forever to connect, and everything I can change has been changed in an attempt to make it prettier with only minimal success. Here's to hoping everything works out. Any comments/questions will be taken and possibly even answered (dependent on how much time I can take away from phone/classes/work/bike)!

Edit:
Went with AOKP. ICS was so alluring. Definitely seems worth it as my issues seem to have been addressed. Just working on getting it set up again.

For those of you wondering about ICS:

It's definitely still the android we all know and hate/love. It just looks so much prettier than Gingerbread (especially with MotoBlur). It's a lot smoother and seems better on battery life, but that may be due to the custom ROM and not ICS. I'm really liking it and so far am happy that I rooted.

I run AOKP on my Galaxy Nexus. It's the best custom ICS ROM as far as I'm concerned. The developers are pretty easy to contact too, which makes it a lot easier to solve any issues you have.

What build are you running?

I'd imagine he's running the one from Hashcode. That's what I was using until I got bored with it and went back to rooted and debloated stock.

Yup, running the one from hashcode. I was honestly amazed at how simple the entire process was.

I've found a few things that don't work so far though. Mainly, panorama mode in the camera doesn't work and video chat doesn't work with Google Talk. Certainly not big issues for me.
