USB Flash drive into Nexus 7 with OTG cable...

Postposted on Thu Jan 16, 2014 9:01 pm

This seems ridiculous to me. I plugged in a flashdrive with files that I wanted to copy to my Nexus 7 tablet (2012 version) with an OTG cable straight into the tablet. APPARENTLY, the Nexus can't get the files unless you root the device! Or spend 5 bucks on a stupid app. Just to access a FLASH DRIVE?

Just to test, I plugged my flashdrive into my Galaxy SII, and via the file browser that comes with teh phone (Samsungs), it is extremely easy to access the files.

How does Google not have flash drive support built in? Seems amazing to me!
