Dlink Di-624 makes electronic buzzing, grunting noises?

Dlink Di-624 makes electronic buzzing, grunting noises?

I have a DI-624 setup in my brothers room because cable modem gets best signal in there. He says that at night when he's sleeping the router makes grunting noises. Is this possible or is he just making it up? Thanks for any help

He swears its making this mechanical buzzing grunting noise at night. I cant understand how this is happening only at night when he is asleep . I mean the router has no moving parts. Whats going on here?

Yes, it is possible (though not common) for electronic devices to make audible noises while operating. FWIW I have a Gigafast network switch that makes whining noises...
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.
