Folder Sharing question...

I have two PC's setup on my Home LAN and connected to xDSL through a DSL router. My PC is Windows XP and my soon to be wife's is WIN98SE. I have enable folder and printer sharing on the WIN 98 PC however I am unable to find it under network neighborhood on my XP PC.

The question is How can I share a folder on both PC's so that the other can see it? I think I have everything enabled but I could be missing something. Do I have to do something w/ the router.

My second question is how do I share my Printer on my XP PC with the 98 PC. I guess that if I get the first question fixed this will be resolved also.

You think I would know this ..... but I am completely stumped.

What workgroup name is assigned to both of these PC? It would be under the system properties for both PCs.

This name should match or the boxes will not be seen in network neighborhood.

I checked that and they are the same. Same protocols installed too. (or they wouldn't be able to use the DSL). File sharing enabled, etc.

I know the answer is there, I have seen it before but have forgotten how to fix it. Besides I have been going crossed-eyed from tyring to figure it out the past two days.

I know someone will say (write something) and the ole lightbulb will come on and I will say "DUH..... I knew that"

Have you tried just mapping directly too the drive instead of trying to find it through network neighborhood?
