Someone needs a pair of "cheap" network cards-

Does anyone have any experience with the D-link DFE-530 TX+? Someone I know wants a cheap card to put in two W98 systems to link just those two systems at home (using a crossover cable). He doesn't need speed, and he won't be going through a hub or a switch. Are these any good? (I mostly work with Intel or 3Com stuff at work, so I don't have any experience with the "cheapies").

Any other suggestions for a cheap network?

I had a couple of those... got them with a D-link switch as part of the package. I have no complaints under Win98SE. I am a netgear fanatic myself, cant afford 3com/intel cards

The 530TX is a not bad cheapo card, I was not impressed with the 528 though.
You should be able to find them under $10US
