Solution for Intermittent Delays while viewing/entering data

Hardware:
Server - Athlon II 630 2.80, 4GB of RAM, W2K8 32-bit, NIC 1Gb
W/S - various CPUs, 2/4GB of RAM, XP Pro, NIC - 100Mb

Software:
Client/Server based application runs on MS Access

Problem:
Intermittent Delays lasting upto 30 secs while entering and/or viewing information on w/s.

Any help would be appreciated.

-Number of users less than 10
-DB size is around 80MB

Solution found for those who may encounter the same problem. Quick Books 2010 SQL Server has a conflict with MS Access Database Management application if they run on the same server which would cause performance dips in MS Access application. They simply need to be installed on separate servers.
