I bought this Linksys router to replace our old one that was disconnecting us several times a day. The new one has no such problems, but one that seems almost as annoying.
When I first setup my new router (and after resets) everything is fine. But after about a day, devices that have spent time off the network, our iPhones and my parent's laptops, those devices cannot connect back to the network. They give the error that the pass-phrase is invalid even though I'm 100% certain it's not. Resetting the router get's the devices back onto the network without changing any of the connection settings on the devices themselves.
I have tried WPA2, WPA, and WEP security to see if that has any impact. I've tried different channel sizes and selecting specific channels. I've tried MAC address filtering (I was sure THAT would work) but to no avail. I left all the settings on default for the initial router setup, which I've done twice. The firmware is up to date.
I've tried to do research and found several hits with people having similar issues and they seem to blame the router's group key renewal, but none of them include any real solutions. The group key renewal is at the default 3600 seconds (1 hour) and the client least time at 1440 minutes (1 day). I'm all out of ideas.
