another RDP / Sleep issue

I've set my other RDP problem aside for the time being as I'm now seeing a different issue ...

If I set the desktop to be put into sleep mode via my RDP session (over WAN), I cannot get it wake back up via magic packet (over WAN).
the only way to wake it back up is manually.

before this, I had tried putting the desktop in sleep mode manually, then woke it up again via magic packet (over WAN), this was tested 2-3 times.
Its just when I set the desktop to sleep via RDP.

Any ideas why or how to remedy this?
(and yes I have googled, but nothing worked yet)

as a work around, looks like I have to manually log on to the desktop and log off the RDP session that is stuck in order to fix this ... which kinda sucks if it happens and I'm nowhere near the desktop.

is it possible to add a script in policy editor which would disable sleep option only for RDP sessions?
