DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem

So I am switching ISPs and I have the chance of purchasing my own Cable Modem. So whats the Best one? It has to be DOCSIS 3.0 compliant.

Moto 6120 here as well. Though my local cable carrier has a specific list of approved modems. So the reseller ISP I have only allows certain ones, and on top of that certain firmware levels. Same reseller ISP in another region has a different local cable carrier, so diff list of modems AND firmwares etc etc if you live there. In short, be carefull the model and FW will work I guess. If I bought a 6120 from Ontario it wouldn't be stable in Quebec. BUT if I bought a 6120 from Quebec and lived in Ontario the carrier would push the FW change (not the case the other way around). Check with your service provider, they may have a list of approved models and may reject anything not on the list. Or not.

I'm happy with my Motorola surfboard, for what it's worth.

Its pretty open. The list only stipulates that is has to be a DOCSIS 3.0 one. I guess its pretty unanimous that it will be the Moto Surboard.
