Linksys EA4500 issues

Postposted on Sun Jul 08, 2012 7:28 am

Hi all,

My roommate purchased a Linksys EA4500 a couple of months ago. It works great most of the time, but it has the tendency to randomly kick devices off the network.

I am not a networking expert but I do know the basics and I've tried everything I know how to do. I've made sure it is configured correctly and that it is placed in an area without interference. I've googled the issue and it seems to be an known issue. However no one seems to offer any solution, they just complain about it. I considered a firmware upgrade but one review said that when you upgrade the firmware on that router, it forces you to create a cisco account.

Anyway, does anyone have any experience with that router and/or suggestions of things to try? I cost quite a bit of money and I'd hate to have to replace it.

Great thanks,
Dan
