Hi!

Wed Jun 12, 2002 8:46 pm

Damage, in his infinite wisdom, gave me the keys to this baby. I will be moderating this forum. If you need anything from Damage, ask him now, obviously, his jet-lag coming back from Taiwan overcame his good judgement. :-)

A little background:

Until recently, I was a diehard PC techie. I have since seen the light and realized that Macs are definitely cool. I still game on the PC, but my laptop is a new Powerbook 667 (most recent rev.) with all the bells and whistles.

I am still learning on this machine, so I probably won't be able to answer many techincal questions, but I am hoping that we have a few experts here that can help out.

My expectations:

I'm pretty easy to get along with. My only request is that you avoid flamewars; this includes the occasional grenade thrown over at the PC guys. If we are going to win this battle, we need to be the rational ones, not the foaming at the mouth fanatics they make us out to be. Personal attacks are also not welcome. Argue facts, not heritage, sexuality, parentage, or nationality.

A word to Windows and other OS fans:

You are welcome here. I think there is an awful lot of tunnel-vision on both sides of the OS debate. Please feel free to share your opinions. However, obvious trolls will be closed or deleted.

That being said, let the fun begin!

I like Macs. They run PPCLinux real good, and any architecture that shares initials with a Particle Projector Cannon gets bonus points. That said, I only run x86.

Enjoy!

Wow, probably time for us to update the hello message, seeing as it's years old.
