hi
my gf has her imac computer. we just bouth it not too long ago. it came with the new leopard os. all of a sudden the dock disappeared. all preferences are ok. it's just permanently gone.
when i start the computer it shows up for a second or two and then gone. anybody knows how to deal with it?? thanks

is it hidden? can you move the mouse to teh edge of the screen where it was and see it pop up?

I know it might seem silly, but try the sides too. It could be hidden on either side.

Might check to see that she didn't change the screen resolution to something higher than the monitor supports. If you do that, the screen becomes "virtual" and you would have to move the mouse down or to the right to see the additional deskspace.

i know what you mean but i tried the sides too

if you look at Activity Monitor, and view all users' processes, is the Dock even listed?
