A friend of mine has an imac with an iSight, and wants to try to have video chats with some of her MSN contacts. Anyone know of any OS X clients that support video on the MSN messenger network?

egads. iChat AV FTW. (except for the occasional firewall hangups)

Any way you can convince her friends to get off the crappy MSN Messenger service?

Yeah, make everybody else change because she is using the minority system.

Why would I convince her to change off the service that everyone else that she knows uses (including me)?

I am curious about this as well.

I bought my wife a MacBook, and so far, this is her only complaint.
She has a lot of friends on the MSN network, so getting them all to change makes no sense.

I have not had a chance to try out the Pidgin (or what ever its called for OS X) yet. Does anyone know if that will work?

I personally don't care for video chat so I use the official MSN client, but this purports to support MSN and video chat.

Ok my friend who recently moved to Texas just sent me a message letting me know he has an MSN Messenger account. I'm going to check that link derFunk posted as soon as I can dislodge my foot from my mouth.

What's so crappy about the Live/MSN Messenger service? It works quite well for the most part. The same can't be said for AOL/ICQ lately (it was downhill for ICQ ever since AOL bought them). I especially like the integration with Remote Assistance (you can say it is monopoly at its best ;)) where other methods to initiate a session involve more manual steps.
