BootCamp Problem

Postposted on Sun Feb 27, 2011 1:22 pm

I was using Win7 on my macbook pro and after restarting i was no longer able to choose either OS but holding down the option key. All I get is a blank grey screen and have to just let it load osx, then change the boot disc to get into windows 7

Any ideas?

You mean, if you use the Startup Disk preference pane in OS X, you can pick your Windows partition but it doesn't stick beyond one reboot?
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do. But what I hate, I do.

No, I mean that when I turn the mac on and hold the option key to select which OS to go into, I can no longer get to the point of selecting anything. All I get is a grey screen.

To get to Windows 7 for the time being I have to change my default boot OS

any new software installs in Windows 7 when this happened? I know they really don't want you using apps that play with partition tables and boot records on Macs. Otherwise I'm stumped. That's weird.
