Awesome Case

Thu Mar 04, 2004 10:51 am

I love gimmicks!! Especially ones that involve moving parts!! J J

SO I have been checking out case’s with a bit of style and motion, the best I have found is
http://www.startech.com/ststore/itemdet ... opbarp.htm

“Wow”, I thought “a case with a cool sliding door, I F**KING love that!”

Please can some one just agree with me to make me feel a bit more secure in my self, and/or tell me about similar cases that feature some sort of gimmicky movement!

Some people are just easily amused. :D

Personally I can't stand doors. I want access to my drives NOW!!!!

A friend of mine built his latest rig with that case. It's a plastic motorized door that goes up and down. I think it's a little cheesy looking and wonder what will happen when it breaks.

I'll keep lovin' my Antec 1080AMG case. Nothing really can compare.

Yea, that. I lock the front of mine for that very reason.

Yes I know I am easily pleased, and the door may be pretty lame. but what i could do with is some info on other cases out there that have some action and are a little bit more inovative!

Yeah, I hear a CD-RW drive can cook a mean slice of bologna!

On my previous computer I replaced the ON/OFF switch with this. Turnin' on the ol' PC felt like startin' a car!

I remember my dad being quite displeased with me once, after I put half a box of (uncooked) elbow macaroni into his good Technics tape deck.

If u lose both the keys could u jumps start that or did u have to roll it down a hill...

My Dad had a case with a motorised door a few years ago, it was hellish when the motor went, kept having to slide it back up cos my dad would kill us when we left it down (he was like that  )

Nah... I just would've installed a remote starter and keyless entry.

You just need to put teeth on the door and beef up the motor. The kids will learn to stay away...and possibly earn the nickname "Stumpy" :o

Yep, I had a directron rig with a sliding door but it moved due to the power of gravity, there was no motor involved.

I actually don't care for doors but this kind was ok, cuz u could leave it down.

Doors are why I can't make myself buy a sonata (that and the recent rash of reports of C4 antec power supplies)

If you want to check out something cool, how bout lcd panels for the front of your case?

I didn't want to start a whole new thread just for this, so I just put it here.

New Egg has a pretty cool case on sale for one day only (today). Check it out. I grabbed one up along with the blue-LED Coolermaster fan that is on sale too.
