Thermaltake case help

Tue Jun 22, 2004 4:08 pm

Hey there...

I just bought a PC and the case is a Thermaltake Xaser III.

The person who built it never hooked up the wires/pins for the top USB/Firewire/Audio inputs.

I popped open the case and pluged in the respective cables onto the top inputs. Still nothing.

Fearing a "duhhhh" moment, is there anything else I need to do to activate these?

Thanks.

Did he give you the manuals? It would be in there.

If he didn't you can dl the manual online http://tw.giga-byte.com/Motherboard/Sup ... %20Pro.htm

It looks like the motherboard header are for pin-out for the audio and the usb are just default 7-pin connector the firewire looks like a pin-out as well...
btw:
If you want to use Front Audio connector, you must remove 5-6, 9-10 Jumper.

what are the connectors from the case like?

VERY IMP

BE AWARE that this case may have a major problem with it. On some cases the wiring for the 1394 firewire is not properly wiring and if this is so it may do damage to the motherboard or device that you plug into this port.
