I'd like a multimeter, mostly for the 5/12 volt circuits you'd find in a case. What kind/features do I want, and where's the best place to buy one without getting robbed?

Are you sure I don't need something a little more fancy?

Radioshack. A simple DMM (digital multimeter) will do you fine.
