Here's one for $53 with free shipping, an Antec SLK1600 case with a 300W power supply, but I'm not so comfortable with the place offering it, since they've got bad ratings. You can probably find it elsewhere for close to the same price, though Newegg's is $48 + $15 shipping:

Here's newegg's: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?DEPA=&submit=Go&description=SLK1600

Why do you care about a good power supply? When I originally built my celery 450A, I bought the cheapest case I could find on pricewatch ($30). It came with a 230 watt PS, which has run for over 3 years, with me only changing the fan once (replaced it with a 24V from a copier, heh. Didn't blow much, but stopped buzzing.)

Just recently I bought a cheapy from newegg and a separate $9 PS. 250W, running a duron 800 without a problem. Plus, I got my mom a nice case and usable PS for only $34.

well cause ps can cause all kinda's of nasty problems....but my real point is that i don't want to pay anything for a ps, i only want a case with NO power supply

basicly i would like something that was ok, and doesn't bend like tin foil

and i was mildly afraid that the one I posted above would be like that as it's cheap and made of Al

Sorry, didn't see the edit there. I got the raidmax blue/beige from newegg, w/no power supply, and it's quite nice. Side fan, front USB, fairly stylish. Not the same as my antec 1080, but only 1/4 the price, so I can't complain. The only beef I had was that one of the LEDs wasn't glued to the front very securely, so I had to remelt the glue to attach it. Took maybe 60 seconds. Overall a pretty good bargain.

I got mine for $45 shipped, with a crappy 400 watt PS... it's steady and I'm not using close to 400 watts so it won't crap out and spike on me.

hey that's cool, might try it then...though i would seem that the purpose for the case may have dried up...but oh well it's good to know anyways:wink:

thanks

I have an Antec KS280B. Although it is solidly built, the design is very un-ergonomic. It's a pain in the butt to work on. Why, when Antec sells such wonderfully-designed easy-to-use cases as the 1080AMG, do they bother selling an obsolete design like the KS280?

1) We still have some, but we're no longer making them

2) some people like them more then the SX/Plus lines of cases.

I like Antec & Chieftec. Here is a list of Chieftec cases. They arent too expensive, and are fairly well built.

Overall I prefer Antec, but they are a bit more expensive.
