Anyone else have problems with Antec 120mm fans?

My four year old system is the first one that ever had a fan other than the PS one, so maybe I just don't know what to expect, but I've replaced both the front and back fans at least once. I discovered today, the front one was dead. Is this an Antec problem or what basically comes with 120mm or other fans?

Any suggestions of other brands to try? To avoid?

Its an antec thing...they sent a new fan along with the new case i ordered from them a couple weeks ago explaining they have been experiencing problems with their fans.

Yeah... not really sure. Both fans failed in my P180 and I never had them off of the Low setting. Oh well, just take it as a blessing and replace them with better fans such as a Scythe or Yate Loon.

Speaking of the better 120 mm fans,
anyone using Arctic Cooling 120 mm fan and how is it?

The Arctic Cooling fans are not worth it. The open ones are really pointless for a exhaust only fan and their closed ones are nothing special.

I stick with Scythe and Yate Loon mainly because of price. Petra's Tech Shop has direct from Yate Loon fans at absolutely amazing prices and Scythe is available at Newegg so they're useful if you have a large shopping cart and what all products from one location. There are other silent fans out there but they tend to be laughably expensive (Noctua) or hard to find/expensive (Nexus). Xigmatek is also a good option if you want a unique looking fan for your case.

In this instance, it's a front fan that hides behinds a grill, so it will never be seen.

Here's a +1 to yate loon fans. Very quiet and incredibly cheaper than scythe or nexus. I believe nexus fans are rebadged yate loon.

Might I suggest Noctua fans? They are really silent, little bit on the ugly side, have those fancy fluid bearings and six year warranty. I have three of those in my computer (intake, outake and one on CPU cooler, replaced the stock fan of HypetTX2) and the loudest thing is my PSU wich is CoolerMaster's SilentPro M600 wich isn't loud at all. So if you can find Noctua go for those, they are on the pricey side, but really worth it.
