ETASIS 750w PSU... Unboxing?

I know its not a new to the market PSU, but it was cheap and gets high marks from all other review sites I've seen. I managed to pickup on it from the Egg for only 49.99 when it usually runs 109.99.... not to shabby :). Its quoting an 85% efficiency and got something like 82% in tests by Overclocker's club I believe. Just curious if anyone would be interested if I were to give a detailed un-boxing and in-house test on this thing. Such a large purty box... Feels like Christmas!
The only downside I see to this PSU is that its got 8 PCI-E power plugs all of which are 6pin... nothing a converter can't solve since the additional 2 pins are only grounds.

Supposedly this things got identical parts to the 750w Silverstone PSU (ETASIS makes the PSU for Silverstone)

Let me know if there is an interest, otherwise I'll spare you guys the spam on pictures.

A while ago, Directron did a study that showed the weight of a power supply to be directly proportional to its quality. If that's still true, the Etasis is the best PSU known to man. This thing is a boat anchor.

Ahaha, you probably got yours much faster than I got mine. Yeah I noticed when I shipped it through Alohaforwarding (Which are freaking awesome BTW... Customer support for me was the owner and he even took a suggestion of mine and made it a reality on the website... great support). Anyhow... I was expecting it to be about 3-4 maybe 5 pounds so Priority Shipping of the item was going to be about the same (7-10 bucks)..... I was wrong and this thing weighs in at a little less than 10lbs! Shipping ended up costing me 32 bucks (after the mere 5 bucks that Aloha takes for their fee/cut)... still 80.00 total for this PSU is 30.00 cheaper than its listed price and cheaper/better quality/higher efficiency/better output than any of the supplies i'd find in town. Something not nearly as good would fall into the 140-170.00 range locally... no wonder with the cost of shipping.

It actually makes my CoolerMaster case top heavy and tipsy. Should have gotten one of those "upside-down" cases where the PSU mounts on the bottom of the case.

I'll keep that in mind when I am putting together my system. More than likely though I am going to order a case thats inverted, i've setup at least three systems like that lately and really like how things look with a PSU upside down and the cabling seems much easier since it doesn't have to hang out in the open. It looks like the cables are very long so it shouldn't be a problem to have them run behind the case through the built in cabling channels.

I guess no one seems to care about an un-boxing :P... don't blame them, its not like i'm getting a brand new 5970 the week it came out. Time for a personal unboxing.
