Need clarification on PSU connectors

Postposted on Sun Oct 31, 2010 3:55 pm

As you are aware AMD is going to release Radeon 69XX series and if the rumors are true it will require 1x8-pin and 1x6-pin connectors.

My power supply has 4x6-pin connectors, plus 2 of the connectors have 1 additional 2-pin connector each which is attached by 2 wires to the main 6-pin connector. Does that qualify for an 8-pin connector?

Yes, 6+2 = 8.
