The old Antec Performance SX / Chenming Dragon series of cases are solid, but their reliance on 80mm cooling fans makes them noisier than newer designs using 120mm fans.

Unfortunately, the old 400-watt Antec PSU (e.g.: PP-403X) cannot provide enough current on the +12V line to power modern systems. Much of its total capacity is on the little-used +3.3V and +5.0V rails. A measly 12A of +12V is only 144 watts on the rail from which modern PCs draw most of their power.

You could re-use the case, but the PSU will have to go.

I have a question: Will you be wanting to add a second card for Crossfire? If not, then you can get an inexpensive 400w unit like this quality Silverstone for $55 shipped. If you do want to add a second card, this 600w Silverstone for $79 shipped will fit the bill nicely. The two metrics that I am looking for here are the number of 6-pin or 6+2-pin PCIe connectors- you need two for one card, and four for two cards, along with silent and stable operation.

No. Read the feedback where every other review seems to complain about the fan, and then read the comments about the fans on the Silverstone PSUs I linked above. I'm not trying to dig on you or on XFX, I particularly like XFX, but I'm also very particular about PSUs- particular that they do their job with silence and stability, with my rock solid and still unbelievably quiet four year old Corsair 620HX as my benchmark. Note that it was OEMd from Silverstone . Seasonic (as noted below).

Yes and yes- and sorry! Apparently those two names are easy for me to mix up...

Silverstone is also known for making (or sourcing) high-quality, efficient, and quiet power supplies, particularly as they've spent a long time developing smaller cases with higher wattage units. Their Sugo SG-07 is a prime example.
