Thermaltake TR2-500W and Radeon HD 5750

Hey guys,
I got a lil problem on my hands. This morning my computer decided to freeze on windows just after booting and when reseting, not starting at all.
Trying to find the culprit (which i kinda imagined) i removed the video card (a sapphire Radeon HD 5750) and pluged the on-board video. To my surprise the system started up normally, no freezing, no issues at all.
My PSU (thermaltake TR2-500W) is less than a year old and it's the second PSU i use with the Radeon HD 5750, the first one was a Seventeam ST-420BKV, which lasted 3 months or so (already had a year with my previous video card).
Is it possible that my current GFX card is wasting my PSUs?

Thanks for stopping by. :D

I'm not sure I understand your question, but if neither were defective that PSU is definitely more than enough for your video card.

Thanks for replying Kestrel.
Somehow, after plugging in and out the card a couple of times, seemed to resolve the issue, so far.
Right now the computer is up and running with it.

by just brew it!
FWIW I've had *terrible* luck with the TR2 series PSUs. They're on my "avoid" list...

Thanks 59abbot and just brew it! on the personal opinions. :D
This weekend my video card (sapphire Radeon HD 5750) decided to stop working on my motherboard...
Which leads to my own thread high-jack:
My thermaltake TR2 500W is capable of holding a GeForce GTX 560 + my phenom II X3 710 (95W TDP)?

I'm looking forward on a system upgrade, i5 2400 (95W TDP) + Intel DHH67CLB3 mobo with this gfx card and i'm wondering if i can use my current PSU with them as well.

Sorry if it sounds confusing 'cause i didn't want to create another topic just to bring this issue up.

Thanks a lot and thanks for the attention.
