Fri Dec 11, 2015 7:24 am

it seems the skylake non K cpus are able to be overclocked by the bclk alone by just a simple bios update

Looks very cool. Let's see if we can get some tests out of TR as this becomes more widespread.
4770K @ 4.7 GHz; 32GB DDR3-2133; Officially RX-560... that's right AMD you shills!; 512GB 840 Pro (2x); Fractal Define XL-R2; NZXT Kraken-X60
--Many thanks to the TR Forum for advice in getting it built.

Very cool indeed. I may build a 1151 rig sooner because of this.

I had just bought my asrock mobo/skylake cpu before this came out, the bioses are already out there for many asrock motherboards and i know asus and others will follow. I totally would've cheaped out on a non-k had I known this before, even if the overclock is limited compared to a k, it should be a big boost especially for the money.
