If I get an nforce 420 with integrated video and plug a GEFORCE3 into the AGP can I run dual monitors or will I still need a PCI video card for my second monitor?

The integrated video within the IGP is on the AGP bus. You can only have one device on the AGP bus, therefore your GF3 is the only video device of the two that can operate at a time.

You will need a PCI video card to run multi-monitor.
