According to this link Intel is planning to release high performance Sandy Bridge CPU(s) in Q4. The upcoming performance CPU(s) will house 6 cores and quad-channel memory controller

. There is going to be interesting competition between the 8-core Bulldozer and the 6-core Sandy Bridge at the end of the year.
