Impossible to say until we see some real benchmarks. Performance of the FX CPUs relative to Intel is probably going to depend a lot on the specific application being run, due to the unusual features of the multi-core design AMD used.
Hitting 8.4 GHz on liquid helium basically tells us nothing about real-world performance. All it proves is that if you can remove a metric buttload of heat from it, it'll clock insanely high without immediately self-destructing.
