A good list to reference when you're making your motherboard purchase:

The list includes information on the actual quality of system components, such as mosfets and power phases. It's a great place to go if you can't decide between a couple motherboards and want some nitty gritty. The GA-990FXA-UD3 is a great board from everything I've read and what I considered buying when I was looking at a AMD system.

Wow, that's an excellent resource!

The linked database of reported motherboard failures is quite interesting as well. It is somewhat disturbing how many of them are MSI, and (of those) how many say "caught fire" in the "additional info" column. The ASRock FM2A75M-ITX also looks like something to avoid unless you like having fireworks inside your case...
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

I have used Gigabyte boards for 20years with no problems. Some Asus boards will outperform in raw performance; but for price, performance, features and STABILITY you can't go wrong.
