Fun with back seat modding (thread split)

I can barely even EXIT vi. It's REALLY unintuitive.

Quick and Dirty vi Commands

vi has two modes, a command mode and text entry mode. There are
more things it can do besides those two modes, but we will save that
for later. In command mode, you can use the letters 'j' and 'k' to move
up and down lines. The letters 'h' and 'l' move the cursor left and right.

when your change is complete, and you are back in command mode,
press ':wq' to save and exit. If you make a mistake, return to command
mode and press 'u'. It will undo one change. If you really screw things up
and don't want to save your changes so you can start over, press ':q!'
from command mode and it will force it to exit without saving.

also, hitting 'ZZ' while in command mode, will save and exit immediately.
What's the point of an introduction in the form of "Quick and Dirty vi Commands" that doesn't even tell you how to switch modes?

mattsteg... your constant flaming of gleek is causing lots of threads to be "fagged up", so to speak. (that's the name for it that I've heard on other forums)

This is not good.

How about you resolve your issues with gleek like ADULTS would?

and your emo BS does the same for a huge chunk of posters as well. Live with it. It doesn't take appreciable effort to not plagiarize, and people need to be held accountable for what they post. Why not get on gleek for his blatant plagiarism, spirited defense of indefensible positions, disregard for the truth, misguided arrogance, rampant dishonesty, etc?

I hardly that "at least try to be somewhat accurate and don't falsely represent yourself" is an especially high standard for people to meet.

part of mattsteg's problem is he thinks that if anyone copies and pastes
anything in these forums, it has to be in MLA/APA format with all sources
and citations linked accordingly. but it seems that i am his only target
of this criteria...

i am not here to follow any english format, i am under no ****
obligation to follow any grammatical rules, nor will i stand for this
constant badgering on the majority of my posts on this site.

Yet again you resort to lies and deception rather than manning up and facing an issue honestly. You're the only one who I see consistently posting stuff as if it were your own, yet when asked for clarification or elaboration you say it was someone else that wrote it. That's the very essence of plagiariasm. No one gives a rat's ass about MLA/APA format, but if you cut and paste something from another site you're obligated to link to it, or at the very least not represent it as your own. The text you pasted earlier was copyrighted, and while you can grab an except, you're obligated to link to the source. Is it really that tough to copy and paste a link that 1) ensures you're not plagiarizing and 2) actually supplies relevant information on the topic at hand to supplent a post that's all but worthless on its own?

Just follow copyright laws, don't post lies and other dishonest material, don't call people with a whole lot more of a clue than you ignorant, don't insult people without reason, and learn to admit when you're wrong.

God damn, mattsteg, it's a **** FORUM POST! It's not like it's a college paper or anything like that!

Oh, and the comment about my "emo crap"?

How many threads on TR has that fagged up? (I'll admit, it's fagged up threads over at the Ctrl+Alt+Del forums)

Versus how many you've fagged up? (I'll go look for threads that gleek's participated. Most likely, it's most of them.)

BTW, what's this?

Umm... look back over that post. You might want to actually look at that.[/quote]It is what it is, and if I'm in the wrong I have no problem admitting it, unlike gleek.

You still don't represent other people's words as your own. It doesn't matter what the context is, that's still plagiarizing and it's still wrong.

I'm making a thread over in BP about this.

Let's stop fagging this thread up, and make the gay porno equivalent of a thread for all the fagging to be in.

Hmm, seems to me there's another common characteristic among those threads.
