Keeping my shuttle FV25 pc cool... any suggestions?

Thu Oct 23, 2003 1:39 pm

Hi all:

I have the shuttle FV25. It's running a Celeron 1.8 Ghzz cpu. Here's the problem:

The case gets so hot you can't touch it! I now leave the case off and the pc runs cool.

I don't mind the pc with the case off, in fact I prefer it that way. BUT I'm curious how to keep the FV25 cool in spite of the fact that it's cramp, and the cpu is below the harddrive and to the forward of this little pc muscle machine.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to keep the cover on AND keep this computer cool?

Thanks!
Rich

Water cooling? There was the one on the front page from eBay, so I should think it's at the very least feasible with your FV25 (don't recall the dimensions etc, or whether it has the whole ICE thing)

A half-decent water cooling setup would only consist of a pump, radiator + fan, and possibly a resevoir...

Shouldn't think that would top 100 whatevers :-D,
