Originally I was wondering if they were making room for a tweaked SN41G2 which wouldn't amount to enough to make a new model number and hence would just be SN41G2 v2.0. Perhaps it would include SATA and an nForce2 Ultra 400. Thus it would be a good idea to get the existing boxes off the shelf.

On the other hand, the competition is coming on strong.

I agree with Geoff that plain old nForce2 is, "getting long in the tooth," and am hoping for something new from Shuttle for the Athlon XP, but they are probably just protecting their market leadership.

LOL yeah. I'm giving up this one to her soon so i'll go back to my 933 p3

One interesting note is that this one appears only slightly faster than my box for microsoft word, internet explorer, winamp, etc... The only big difference is with games.

I was expecting a bigger performance boost in regular situations... but i've realized my day-to-day computing performance is mainly hard drive limited. might be time to start saving for some scsi equipment before getting myself a whole new box.
