aria and vga silencer a fit?

Sat Oct 02, 2004 10:24 am

Ive read 2 conflicting reports on wheather an aria can handle a 9800 pro with an arctic cooling vga silencer or not. the people at silentpcreview seem to say its a no way whereas the HTCP site review sais they are the only way to go. has anyone else had experiance with said combo? any advice welcom. im generaly a pretty good problem solver so when the parts arive Ill tell ya how it went

I know someone who installed the Arctic-Cooling VGA silencer on a Radeon 9800 Pro in an Aria case. He said that it lowered his case temperatures significantly. Of course, it does block one of your PCI slots.

zalman 7000b al-cu cooler
radeon 9800 pro (128)
wimpy pc2700 1 gig left over from last system
wimpy 80gb hdd (leftover)
wifi g pci card
im excited!
