anyone have a guide (preferably with pics) on how to change the 120mm fan on an Aria?

I'm thinking either a Globe or Panaflo....hmmm maybe a Vantec Stealth even.

The fan on my Aria is beginning to make a whining noise when its hot.

thanks for any help!

Go with the panaflo if you can, their bearings do not wear out so the fan will never whine. I have a couple of nearly 20 year old panaflos that were pulled out of dead AT PSUS that still run quiet.

is it three wires? if so just make sure

ground goes to ground (green/copper)
black to black
white to white

might want to use some marrets when splicing the wires together so you don't get a short.

For the record, traditional AC wiring colors aren't the same as those used in the computer. In the PC, for 3-pin fans, Red is hot, Black is Ground, and Yellow is for RPM sensing. For 4-pin Molex connectors, Red is +5v, Black is Ground, and Yellow is +12v.
