SN95G5v3 Reviews? Experiences?

Postposted on Thu Aug 11, 2005 4:21 am

Has anyone got any reviews or personal experience with the SN95G5v3?

I'm going to buy 1 next week, but I cant seem to find a reputable source for a review. Even Anandtech in today’s SFF roundup uses the v2.

All I can find is that the v3 is a motherboard swap to NF3 250GB and it supports the 90nm A64's (but probably not X2’s).

Anyway I picked one of these up and it boots with the Venice 3500+ no problems.

My next question is will I need a floppy during the windows installation to load the SATA drivers or does windows have them? I'm not using raid.

You will most likely need the floppy, although there's only 1 way to find out.

Dragmor head over to the SFF Forums at Sudhian (SFFTech). That's where all the info is on Shuttles. Employees from Shuttle actually post there.
