SFF wishlist

I'm extremely interested in the SFF machines as I live in a NY apartment - I need all the space I can get!

There are a few things I'd like to see Shuttle add to their SFF machines to make them truly perfect.

1. Change the IDE interface to SATA-133. Serial ATA is a little more expensive but a bit faster and a .5 inch ribbon cable would have to help the airflow/cooling a good bit.

2. Integrate an antenna into the case and both wifi and bluetooth onto the motherboard. If we're going to do conspicuous minimalism, a bluetooth keyboard and mouse are simply must-haves.

3. Put a good Nvidia chip on the motherboard. A TI or FX, non o' this MX stuff...

Did I miss anything?

#2 and #3 are already being done.

They are making a Nforce-2 mobo Cube shortly, and I believe they already offer a Antenna for Wifi ( I just hate that term! ).

1. SATA/150, I think you mean. 133 is PATA only. I'm sure you'll see this as soon as a SATA-native chispet emerges.

2. I'm sure they're at least investigating.

3. Uhmm, no. Integrating a full-fledged graphics card into the mobo would: 1. Eat up TONS of board space. 2. Make board qualification MUCH harder. 3. Preclude upgrading and jack the price WAY up.
