Maybe most of you have already seen this, but HP has recently announced an SSF computer that is available with any one of several AMD EE SSF CPU's, including the EE SSF 3800+. It's also available with Intel's Core Duo T2050 CPU. The computer is called HP Pavilion Slimline s7600e. It can be seen here:

http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopp ... n+Slimline

The box is fairly nice. It has the nVidia 6150/430 chipset, but HP failed to include the DVI functionality (why?) and the box has no 16xPCIe slot. Also, HP only ships DDR2-533 memory. I guess you have to build your own to get a real nice box?

This is the first instance I've seen of an AMD EE SSF 3800+ anywhere except in the hands of a reviewer. I was really beginning to wonder. Now, if AMD will just take the EE SFF 3800+ retail - pretty please with sugar on it!

Cool, thanks for the link. My thoughts:

1. I don't think I've ever seen an aesthetically pleasing HP box.

2. DDR533 sucks and it's to expensive to boot

3. No DVI and no PCIE? WTF?

4. I could build something faster for cheaper

5. the EESFF ain't got no overclocking headroom

6. Given all the above limitations, and the fact the the 65watt X2 or C2Ds run so cool anyway, there is "nothing to see here"

I went into Staples (Business Depot) and saw it. I thought it was really slick and really small.

Only thing I would be scared of is people putting this in a non-ventilated cabinet. I put my hand in the back of it and they blow out quite a bit of hot air.
