Case is a Silverstone SG01
PSU is antec neo 430W
mobo is MSI K9AGM2-FIH
CPU = 65W 3800+
250GB hdd
1GB generic ram (borrowed)

Using HDMI to output video to the 40" LCD telly, and made a bracket (bit of a dodgy job) to connect to the SPDIF output on the motherboard which is outputted to our DVD player with surround sound. All up for so far about $600 for hardware, with a few more things to buy including black DVD drive, wireless kb and mouse, and also a tv tuner.

The case is pretty roomy, though I probably wouldn't want to work in anything smaller personally.
Motherboard is top notch with good fan controls to help quieten down the PC. No overclocking options though. Had problems with the latest ATI drivers though... put the ones from teh CD back on and random freezing stopped.

All in all I'm very happy with it.

I've got it running WIndows XP with Media Portal at the moment and it seems to be fine for movies and shows I have stored already. Now just need to get the tuner card and see if it still works.

Whatever tuner card you pick, make sure it has a hardware encoder. I've had really good luck with the Hauppauge PVR-250 and PVR-150.
