137+ gig hd's in SFF

Wed Feb 26, 2003 12:12 pm

I'm looking to buy a SFF and I need to know if the SFF or Windows or whatever require the add-in card for a HD over 137 gigs. I'm using the WD 200 SE and I sure don't want to waste a pci slot that I would rather use for sound. Anyone actually running a SFF with a hd this big?

Big HD's...

Fri Mar 14, 2003 5:03 pm

Just so you know, I did put the 200 gig hd in and it does indeed require the IDE card.... so there went my expandability. But oh well, with the 9700 pro in there, its awful fast......

Which SFF did you have? The nForce2 should have ATA-133 support, it depends on which model you have, it's not like "all SFFs have this problem"..
