Price premium on SB51G over SS51G worth it?

Wed Apr 23, 2003 12:04 pm

Just wondering for a corporate customer, he'll be running only business apps on this no games. Basically Win2k with an 7500 AIW for the vivo capabilities. Should I really worry about the price premium for the SB51G in this case or save the 100-150 bucks. I have no problems with SIS chipsets, my K7S5As were wonderful :)

The only advantage of running an SB51G over a SS51G is you're running an intel chipset with better memory performance. If this is going to be just a standard business machine; ie Microsoft Office, etc.. then the SS51G will work great.
