Most annoying ipod bug that was never fixed

Sun Mar 29, 2009 1:19 am

I found this on my G1 nano and now on my G2 nano. After I disconnect my nano from iTunes and remove the plug, I go to shut it off so I can save it for later. The problem is that it won't shut off! I have to play with the controls, skip songs, and basically do random stuff until the iPod decides it's OK to shut off. It's incredibly annoying, and I've noticed it now on both the first and second generation nanos, despite applying all software upgrades. Is it just me, or do others notice this problem, too?

I have a 4th Gen Nano and I have never had such an issue myself.

Any possible way to reset the iPod?

I've never shut off my Nano. I just let it idle for a while and it goes into a sleep like mode. Maybe this is why I get pretty low battery lives.
