Headset

I am a gamer. I play Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead among other offline games. My headset is getting a short in one ear and I am overall unhappy with it. It is a Plantronics headset I got a while back. I'm looking to get a nice headset. I have tin ears, but I would like decent headphones, but a good mic is a must. Comfort is a big deal to because a long game of L4D and my ears hurt from my current ones. I am looking to spend around $50, but if it is worth it I am flexible on that. Just asking for ideas or personal experience.

There are many threads like this one in the Echo Vale.

I like the Sennheiser PC-151 headset.

You might also consider the PC-161 headset.

find a pair of headphones you're very comfortable with, then grab the Zalman ZM MIC 1

You're supposed to clip it to your headphone cable but the clip is a bit wide for that. I clip it to my lapelland the only mic i've seen better is on my brother's sennheiser PC-350s ( http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=29043 ... lectronics ) somehow i doubt you want to spend $220 on a headset though.

Grab some nice $40+ phones and that $11 mic and you should be set.
