Hey guys, I'm thinking of buying a new monitor, the whole issue is that this monitor has HDMI, DVI, analog 3.5mm input, built in speakers and an analog 3.5mm audio output, I want to use this monitor and a set of 2.1 speakers I have, like this:

Image Here's how the monitor looks on the back...

I connect my PCs analog audio output with the monitors analog input, and a console (PS3) using HDMI, then I connect my own speakers to the monitors analog output... Does this configuration downgrade audio quality too much?? I mean passing the signal from the PC or console to the monitors audio inputs and then outputting to my 2.1 speakers from the monitor?? Or am I just better off connecting the PC or console directly to the speakers??

The more connections and adapters you have between the source and the speakers the more degradation of analog audio will be realized because of interference.

In your case, though, it's negligible.
