p5q pro onboard sound

Hi, I posted about getting a headset I finally decided what headset to get, but now I'm questioning whether or not my motherboards on board sound will work with it. I want to go tritton ax51 pro headset. I see 6 slots in the audio so I'd assume it works, but I'm not sure. If it doesn't work then i'll just get the usb version of this headset. since the board supports 7.1 audio on the inputs and the headphones use the 3 cables for 5.1 and another for microphone it should work fine.
as usb it would act as a whole new audio device, and some programs dont fully/natively support usb headsets, or require a bit of tinkering to work with it.
