Unfortunately, that appears to be a common problem (dating back at least to Vista, if not before); clearly, the folks writing wireless drivers (there really are only a handful of different WiFi client chip suppliers) have dropped the ball -- 64bit support also was very slow to appear. I uninstalled Nvidia's latest drivers, and installed 179.48 (for notebooks, windows 7 64bit, i have 9600M GS), along with the HD audio driver (asked in the install). If you have Nvidia graca and running W7 64bit, like me, try that and then report
