Xonar DX front panel microphone works but not speakers

I also tested with the motherboard's front panel and it works for both the speakers and the microphone. That isolates the problem to the xonar specifically.

Am I missing some kind of setting somewhere? I want to be able to switch it to feed into my headphones from the front panel when I play a game with voice communication.

In the DX audio center. Under Main. What do you have selected as "Analog Out"? You need FP Headphones or FP Speakers. FP == Front Panel.
