Isn't there an MSI box that works like that too?
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.

I'm not aware of an MSI board that does the same, but there could be one. The retail price on the SOYO is $69us for just the board and $129us with all the goodies....not a bad price.

So with that...do you need a HD?

No HD needed for basic functions.

Yeah, I think an MSI cube does basically the same thing
Xbox Live = narcon / Steam = narcon / PSN = Pontifex

Comparing the soyo motherboard with a complete system is apples and oranges. I see a lot more posibilities with just a motherboard.

This is true, but with this MB you can do both. You can run audio or video with out having to boot the operating system, or you can boot the OS and run that way. A little of the best of both worlds.......

Several of the SFF systems out there will do this too, the Abit cube will do this too. This seems to be a popular feature, and another way to get rid of some of the stereo equipment next to the TV.

Apparently I'm forbidden from seeing the page. :(

That's what my screen tells me when I click the link. :x

That MSI box is cool. I've been thinking of making my own SFF mp3 player for my basement. Kind of ilke a mini jukebox.
