I decided to put together a new computer what do u think?

ABIT "KV8 Pro" K8T800
AeroCool Silver ATX Mid Tower Case
AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 512KB
Corsair Value Select (Dual Pack) 184 Pin 1G(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200 - OEM
ONY Beige 1.44MB 3.5Inch Floppy Disk Drive,
Western Digital 160GB 7200RPM SATA
SONY Silver 16X DVD-ROM Drive
Thermaltake Silent PurePower, 420W
eVGA nVIDIA GeForce 6800 Video Card, 128MB GDDR

beautiful.. honestly, that's the first system specs that someone has put that I agree with on everything 8)

what monitor do you have?
how about keyboard/mouse?
what about a Cd/dvd burning maybe?
plan on overclocking?
and what HSF? stock?
what fans?

EDIT: uh-oh...beige floppy drive on a silver case :o

That's a nice system.

Consider stepping up to the Athlon64 3200+ 2.2GHz Newcastle for about $35 more.

You can buy pre-painted silver (or other color) floppy and CD drives or bezels from Directron.

Is that the CAS2.5 or CAS3 Corsair Value Select PC3200?

Western Digital hard-drives perform well, but they are a bit noisy. I may go with Seagate for my next purchase for that reason.

You can buy pre-painted silver (or other color) floppy and CD drives or bezels from Directron.

Or pick up a little bottle of silver model paint for a couple of bucks. That will probably last for as long as the silver / brushed aluminum look is the "in" thing.

its cas2.5... As for the hard drive i'll look into which one would suit me best.
