Matrox caters to a different segment of the market and not us gamers. With emphasis on quality over performance and their triple monitor support, they will have a small niche.

You could always change it to the matrox and 3Dfx forum. Then people would start flame wars about the Vodoo 6000 being the best card ever.

WebHobbit do not give up, I think you should try out the 3Dfx thing. At least you may get more traffic into the forum.

So punny it incites violence!

Really, though, Matrox effectively got out of the 3D market around the time the G550 came out. They're now some funky 2D quality/too many monitors niche.

I really wish the Parhelia was cheaper, I'd love to pick one up for $100-$150 to run my triple monitors on my dually (right now I'm using a Matrox g450 and a Matrox Millenium II), and maybe the occasional game (although I've got a uniprocessor machine with a gf4).

If the Parhelia supported *real* triple monitor configurations, it would at least be atractive. Last I heard you were locked in at the same refresh/resolution for all three screens and forced to live with the annoying spanned taskbar. That's not even useful for me. Parhelia is basically a nice dual-dvi desktop card, and that's about it.

Hmm, the spanned taskbar I don't care about since I keep my taskbar on the left (vertically), but having all my monitors the same resolution/refresh rate could be a deal breaker.
